ABOUT US

ASB Australia Principal and Master Boat Builder, Greg Brown, with 30 years experience, is renowned for his exceptional ability in the construction of aluminium and steel boats and highly respected as an accomplished ocean sailor throughout the Australian yachting industry.

The success of high profile races such as BOC Singlehanded Round the World place winners, Innkeeper and Buttercup and within Australia, Bobsled, Hammer of Queensland, Frantic and Animal Farm, have gained Greg a reputation for very high standards, building fast, strong, safe boats able to withstand the toughest conditions.

Although the business was based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland for many years, Greg decided in 1997 to relocate to the Clarence River in New South Wales (near Yamba which is a Port of Entry). With the factory located on the river at the Harwood Island Slipway, we now have the ability to construct larger vessels.

2-4 vessels are constructed each year, with more than 50 cruising and racing hulls and work boats launched since 1980.

ASB Australia ... welcome plans and specifications from your choice of designer.

Our Mission is ... to fulfill your individual dream of your perfect yacht.

The Starting Point ... is to liaise with your designer or assist in your choice of designer. We have the experience and ability to assist in the design concept and understand that quality construction begins with quality design.
